What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Website Contact form

Our Website includes a simple Contact Form where we ask for your Name, Email Address and a field for you to type your message to Athea PC. You are not obliged to contact us through this form, and may instead contact us through the phone number provided on our website.

We receive Contact Form submissions by email and retain the details for a period of up to 1 year for customer service purposes only,although in most cases we delete these enquiries after dealing with the issues raised in your submissions. We do not use the information submitted through the Contact form for marketing purposes. We do not pass your data to any other 3rd party under any circumstances except where required by law.

Cookies

If you have an account and you log in to this site for administrative purposes, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. We use basic anonymised Google Analytics to monitor the performance of our Website, and to assist in identifying problematic or destructive visitors to our website. We do not directly share your data with anyone, although some of the services we use to protect and facilitate reliable delivery of our website content do identify patterns of behaviour or other attack signatures and use this information to ensure that the quality of our service is protected.

How long we retain your data

Under normal circumstance most users cannot log into or have an account on our website.

If you are able to leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

What data breach procedures we have in place.

Our systems are monitored continuously by a range of security products, and we take care to ensure that all equipment is hardened and proteced by encryption and passwords. In the event of any data breach we will work swiftly to identify the extent of any intrusion and contact anyone affected as a result of the breach.

What third parties we receive data from

We use online hosting and transactional web services from a number of trusted online service providers. In general any interaction with a third party where required is performed anonymously, or with the absolute minimum of detail required by the service provider to perform their function. What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

We use automated risk categorisation and mangement services to identify and protect our web services, and to block hostile actions towards our network. These risk management services are carried out by well know and reputable online service providers, who only retain data where a security breach has been attempted, or at an anonymous level to ensure the proper functioning of our internet services.
